The Virginia governor changed things in his state to a conservative ideology, they went from being in the red to having a surplus and some of the lowest unemployment rates in the nation. You can keep blaming Bush, but what will that accomplish?

But I did laugh at the same tired rant about socialism, not a term I use too often, Obamanations agenda points that way, but he knows there is only so much shit he can pile on, like forcing the big business to give the unions a seat on the board, that's a very socialist thing to do, isn't it?

Did you know that Prince William county in Virginia has almost the same immigration bill that Arizona has for over 3 years? No Racial Profiling cases, go figure?

This is all politics as usual, I'm glad that they stepped up on some of these sites, but I also look at the possibility of the government wanting to use this as getting into more regulation of the Internet and that's not good for US!

The motion picture industry's revenue in the US is around $40 Billion ? that dwarfs the porn movie revenue.

The best we can hope for is that just the threat will be enough to shut down any US server with stolen content.

But what is the greater effect? The actions will just cause these servers to be offshored to less restrictive nations.

Don't worry, you'll be fine. Every one of her videos she did for Naughty America are free and available at every tube and torrent site out there. It's great advertisement for Claudia-Marie.Com since it's not as easy to find our stuff.

Doesn't seem to do much for sales to NA though.

And yet you STILL don't realize the ONLY reason any action is being taken is because the RIAA and MPAA are lining peoples pockets as we speak. They aren't going to do a damned think about your content until you do the same. IF they actually cared, they'd push through laws that do something, not become the MPAA's bitch and socialize the cost of lawsuits for them, so a few people up the top can have a secure job once they leave Government positions.

I don't need to "realize" anything at all. I could care less about the RIAA MPAA and any other letters of the alphabet. What I care about it my content being used to make other people money. And if Hollywood, what's left of the music industry, software companies, and other mainstream businesses with intellectual property being stolen can apply enough pressure to get something done that will benefit ALL content producers then I am happy.

The online porn industry has done little innovating as far as the product is concerned in the 15 years I've been around it. Yes we have faster servers, sharper images, HD video and more content. That was innovation of the technical side and none of it down to the porn industry.

Even the way we drove traffic was about finding better ways to get more free content under the noses of potential buyers than it was about getting more people to buy porn. The industry needs to realise customers, or ex customers, make the decision of whether to buy or not to buy. We need to give him a lot more in 2010 than we did in 2005.

This really isn't a big deal at all compared to what control the government can have with a few bills passed in congress. Give them the power to filter traffic to sites thought to be "unlawful" through major ISPs and watch the internet change right before your eyes.

On the plus side, piracy will be cut down big time to the average mainstream consumer.

Of course. And why wouldn't they? IF the govt. is going to pass a legislation that is beneficial to a business making money then of course that business is going to favor that legislation. That makes perfect sense to me no matter what industry you are referring to.

And in every industry...they are mostly AGAINST the govt. getting involved in any way except beneficial ways. And again, I don't see what the big deal is about that.

As citizens we don't expect our govt. to do things to hurt us. (though of course that's exactly what they do most times they touch anything) Every once in a while they actually do something (probably by accident lol) that is beneficial to business making money.
