Besides funds availability, could anyone calling/writing sknanb ask if the bank plans to retain card 2 card transfers? Another interesting and practical question here could be if card holders could actually open personal bank accounts with them. I don't see why would this not be possible once card holders are verified, but this would be just lovely.

just noticed that LiveJasmin spelled Epassporte wrong on their banner...

But it's good to know they still do Epass payouts! lol...

Less than an hour until they close and still nothing. Bastards.

ffmihai 09-30-2010 11:03 AM

i was wondering, after the bank gives us access to the card, can we withdraw the money from epassporte into the card? LOOOLLL

candyx 09-30-2010 11:10 AM

I decided to go ahead and call Visa one more time, explained how taking it up with epass is useless, how we havent had access to our money in almost a month and up until now there is no statement on why this has happened.
I told them i understand they dont have control over the money , but among the banks they have chosen to work with , there is also st kitts and they should at least show some interest in this ongoing situation, maybe make a statement, communicate with the bank better and provide more information to us.
I mentioned there are alot of people and alot of money involved , it is not just a couple card holders having a hard time.
The lady talked to a supervizor, then she said she really wants to help, not to get my hopes up but she promises she will take this issue to people in superior position who can address it.
I wanna believe the bank is doing all they can, but some pressure wouldnt hurt.
So if any of you wanna go ahead and call visa so they have more people pushing this issue:
800-847-2911 keep pressing 0 to get to an operator.

Updated post from SKNANB with nothing

------------------------------------------------------------------------

To All SKNANB Visa Prepaid Cardholders

SKNANB is committed to adhering to Visa's stringent program requirements and maintaining the integrity of the global payment network. On instruction of SKNANB, on September 23rd, 2010, ePassporte's network access for cards issued by SKNANB was disabled. As a result, SKNANB prepaid cardholders will not be able to view their card balances through the ePassporte.com website.
SKNANB is actively working to restore, as soon as possible, SKNANB prepaid cardholders' ability to obtain information regarding their Visa card balances and to access Visa card funds. SKNANB prepaid cardholders can soon expect further communication from us in this regard.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding your SKNANB prepaid card, please contact SKNANB at [email protected]. In addition, cardholders can call +1-869-466-9733 to contact the cardholder services centre between the hours of 8am and 4pm Atlantic Standard Time. Please note, the call volume could be quite large, as such, there may be extended wait times.

We understand the inconvenience and SKNANB thanks you for your continued patience.

I think we all need to make calls to Visa. The bank isn't doing shit but fucking with us and our money. I've had it with their stall tactics.

mn 09-30-2010 12:09 PM

i think there's a legal battle going on regarding ownership of epassporte.............

seeandsee 09-30-2010 12:12 PM

wtf legal battle ? did't heard anything about it

I didn't hear about any legal battle either... but it's a bit fishy that SKNANB is going to steal the customers from ePassporte.

Please do call , maybe it wont make a difference, maybe it will , we dont know until we try...
Visa can at least decide to get some updates to keep a nice reputation...

mn 09-30-2010 12:25 PM

99,99% of the people at visa have no clue about this situation... i have no idea how to reach the correct people at visa, any ideas?

I agree, even since it happened they do seem like they have no clue , i always asked to talk to a manager or supervisor and even they had to go ask someone else, but i am hoping if we do explain the situation and ask them to go ahead and take it to someone in a higher position maybe we will get some results. Maybe with several complaints about it they will look into it ..
it does amaze me after almost a month they still have no clue yet their brand name-Visa is involved in this mess ...

basically they said they have alot of banks they work with, well they obviously associated with this one, they should have a clue about what happens and who is using their plastic..

if you are looking for conspiracy theories.. how about this:

http://www.thestkittsnevisobserver.c...tley-debt.html

the article is less than 2 months before the epass issue, here's some tid bits that caught my eye:
Quote:

government relies on and borrows from the bank.. and puts the bank at risk,

the largest financial institution in their country... (SKNANB)

government policy of “borrow and spend” on a wanton basis was the root cause of the approximately $3 billion dollar public debt"

"For Christmas the employees of National Bank, from Sir Edmund Lawrence himself right down to the lowest paid, carried home the equivalent of three (3) months’ salary in bonuses and holiday payments. This amounted to a significant expenditure on the part of the bank, while many shareholders are still waiting for their long overdue dividends,”
i dunno... just figured this would be a better "new" theory than a legal battle no one has heard of yet..

(but after a month of no information I think the new Visa Policies seem like the best potential answer, however for people who think it is related to account verification i must say that it did not affect Paypal and I had to send way more info to epassporte than I did to Paypal to verify my account)

MMaster 09-30-2010 01:13 PM

Epass would be interesting to know what does !! Epass die without a fight ?? No way !!

mburns 09-30-2010 01:14 PM

We're still accepting Epassporte for Predator licenses, for the time being at least.

It's a dicey time and I doubt Epass will ever fully recover. There's just too much lost faith, even if things returned to normal. I assume we'll all migrate to CashX or something similar. Until the next one blows up... :-/

mburns 09-30-2010 01:19 PM

I've also been able to get some money out of epass and heard more stories of guys getting wires and funds out - good news

I read this story this morning from a St Kitt's news source, (maybe it was another Caribbean country, but nonetheless)

Basically a bank in their 'circle' in the Caribbean is fucked, so St Kitts and their partners have developed this PLAN to help account holders see, and access their funds. Wording they used sounds so much like the bullshit they tell us.

http://www.tcweeklynews.com/ecic-vow...sh-p2122-1.htm
Quote:

They assured creditors that all deposits would be kept whole. Customers would get back all their money up to the first $50,000 immediately. Access to an additional $50,000 would take place over 12 months for chequing account holders. All other accounts over $50,000, excluding chequing accounts up to $100,000, would be kept for a period of five years at an annual interest rate of 1.75 per cent.
So these assholes work a whopping 6 hrs a day, and have been in Court all week fighting to save another bank to the tune of 30.5 million.

Naturally, they need to save this bank so it's 4500 local users can access their (our) money. Smells like rotten ball sack if you ask me.

Agent 488 09-30-2010 01:32 PM

that bank i'm pretty sure was sunk by a canadian pyramind scheme shitbag. a canadian madoff.

I've been seeing some headlines on the news channel tickers lately about visa tightening regulations and the US 'cracking down' on money laundering and easy money transfers. Is that mainstream picking up this story? Or is there more to it?

1. Because of exactly that - I am a Lazy fucker (NOT talking about sex though :thumbsup)
2. I've got measly $200+ on my epass visa - not enough "motivation" to be on hold calling, or spending time writing an email.
3. Go and seriously fuck yourself :321GFY

Ok people, those concerned SHOULD NOT ask about p2p functionality on these cards and SHOULD NOT inquire about possibility of bank account opening!

Are we good now? :pimp

You are probably talking about this (taken from iTalkCash[.]com):
Quote:

New rules has come in place regarding debit pre paid cards, gift cards and reloadable top up cards. The rules, which were mandated by the Credit CARD Act of 2009, require more data collection and reporting from businesses, and some experts say they could make prepaid card buying a challenge for some consumers.

Starting June 28, the public will have 30 days to comment on the rules, which require nonbank prepaid card providers to:
Quote:

File suspicious activity reports (SARs) with the government on suspicious activity of more than $2,000. Suspicious Activities Reports are Treasury Department forms already required of banks, casinos, poker rooms, securities and futures firms and others in the money services business. More than 5.6 million have been filed since they were first mandated in 1996 (see chart). The proposed rule would add nonbank card providers to the ranks of those required to file forms with the government when their suspicions are aroused.
Collect customer information anytime a card is reloaded at someplace other than a bank.
Maintain transaction information.
The rule focuses on the following:
Quote:

Don't have the value clearly labeled on them.
Are reloadable at places other than banks.
Can have a maximum lifetime value of more than $1,000, including reloads.
Can be used anywhere -- especially if they can be used internationally.
Can have the value transferred to another card.
Are purchased in large amounts or seem otherwise suspicious.

Sorry if it was already discussed here. I am a "lazy fucker" and did not read the whole thread, plz forgive me.

forke 09-30-2010 03:09 PM

They are doing the same shit like Epassporte did. If we won't fight for the money and won't call them everyday and pressing them then we will be fucked once again. I think that now SKNANB will keep us waiting for the next month and after that they will say that "shit happens" and our $$$ has gone...
