The need for labour is easily solved because no one plans to revert to pre-industrial revolution strategies. A population living on the edge of poverty isn't as rich as one living in luxury.

Letting them all go is wrong. The worse will soon disappear, those with zero chance of being allowed to stay will disappear. So locking them up is the only solution and unless the border is strengthened in places where people have access to walk across. The only option.

What will Americans pay to support better facilities? None of the people complaining about the facilities wants to talk about how much more should be spent to keep them in a secure location.

The only difference Government rights and benefits wise between an Australian and an New Zealander living in Australia, is the right to vote in Australian elections and vice versa. 23% of NZ's population live in Aus, 1 in 6 Maori, live in Australia ;) Time to invite your Mexican family ;)
