No its not. AZ is a pre-emptive state which allows open carry. Which is no permit required.

a permit is only required to carry concealed. in a "golden state" you can open carry or conseal.

no, it's not considered a concealed weapon to carry a gun in a holster on your belt in arizona.

Like virginia you can goto a gun shop and buy it and then open carry it on your hip w/o a permit. You only need a permit to conceal.

I know a few people in AZ that have a license to carry permit. Same here in PA and even friends that I had no idea until we go to the bank and they pull a gun out and say they need to leave it in the car

That is not entirely true. A portion of the gun or holster needs to be exposed enough to be recognizable as a gun. If a persons shirt, coat, whatever, covers the gun and holster entirely, it could be considered concealed.

nothing they are the same. golden states are considered most gun friendly states with their local laws.

preemptive just means that the state has laws in place that prevent local jurisdictions from creating gun laws that would prohibit the right to bare arms. etc. So the state has a preemptive gun law which prohibits some town that would ban the carry of fire arms.

Yup, Very true.
I was there once in a liquor store and I guy walked in behind me with his gun on him. First thing I thought of is that Shit was gonna go down and I was going to be in the middle of it. Then I told the clerk, did you see that guy, that fucker had a gun. He looked at me like I was nuts and said he knew, that it was legal.

Can you imagine down here in LA if a guy walked in with a Gun on him at a 7-eleven.

NRA-ILA is pleased to announce that three new pro-gun laws officially go into effect today in Arizona.

The employee protection/parking lot law requires employers to allow the lawful storage of firearm(s) in employees? locked motor vehicles while they are at work. Employers are not allowed to ban the storage of firearms in vehicles unless they offer an alternate location to park immediately adjacent to the standard parking area. If your employer violates this new law, please contact us immediately at 703-267-1240 or email state&[email protected].

Also effective today, concealed carry permit holders can carry a concealed firearm for self-defense while in an establishment that serves on site alcoholic beverages as long as they are not consuming alcohol. A restaurant or bar can ban possession by posting a sign next to the liquor license. It is important to note that posting the sign at the entrance of an establishment is not sufficient and one is legally protected to enter the premises and see if the sign is posted in the proper place next to the liquor license. If it is not, the establishment is not in compliance with the law and you may remain inside even if a sign is posted at the entrance. It is important for gun owners to politely let restaurant owners know you prefer to patronize those restaurants who do not post their premises.

Finally, a new law allows for a concealed carry permit holder to ?display? their weapon to de-escalate what would otherwise be a violent altercation. It has been designed to stop problems in the past where the passive display of a firearm was considered brandishing and not a means of self defense. It will prevent law abiding citizens from violating the law when lethal force is not required to prevent a violent incident. It is important to note that this law does not allow for you to remove your handgun from its holster to intimidate another individual or gain leverage on a situation.

I ride with my gun on my hip every time I am on my street bike as well. Though I do have my CCW you would not in fact need one if the gun is not being concealed.

Really, shit. Even if it's concealed.

I used to do that until I forgot to take off my motorcycle helmet and they called the SWAT team.

Also I guess I shouldn't have asked for my withdrawal to be in small non-sequential bills.
