In the back of the CCard it is written that the property of the card is Bank of St. Kitts. So I hope that after the checks made by Visa, the bank reactivate the VVisa and allow you to withdraw money from ATM ... or eventually with wire transfer ...

Good News

I just got off the phone with support at SKNA.
They have informed me that they will be reactivating both the virtual visa and the actual he cards soon so we can get our money :)

She said to keep an eye on the message lower left corner under "message to prepaid card holders" this is where it will be announced in a few days time. https://www.sknanb.com/

Are they going to be permantly enabled or is it just so that we can access our current balances?

Raven 09-29-2010 06:27 AM

dated: 9/27/2010

Dear Cardholder,

Thank you for your email regarding your Visa prepaid card. After a short further delay of approximately one week or less you will be provided with information on how to obtain your card balances and access to your card funds.

We will email you with further information regarding this matter and you can always review the SKNANB.com website for further updates as they are released. In addition, we will shortly advise of a dedicated telephone number for support.

Thank you for your patience and continued patronage.

And how is the Wallet part? Everything still working there?

MaxxB 09-29-2010 06:39 AM

looks like webmasters with Visa balance can get their money even faster then thos who have wallter balance

I requested my wire on the 3rd of Sept and still waiting.. it was approved over 2 weeks ago and still not sent

And I see there was just some webmasters that get small international wire transfers..

Got my wire

Last week I finally got my XX,XXX wire that was requested on 9/3. Stressful waiting process but it did ultimately arrive. Thanks to Michael O. and the others, I do think they are working their hardest through a really crappy situation.

As for where Malick is or what he's doing amidst all this, I'm not as confident...

So when St. Kitts gives the go ahead it will be a mad dash to the ATM and you will have an expired card on your hands. I would be curious to see if Epass takes their $35.00 fee out of your account

To All SKNANB Visa Prepaid Cardholders

SKNANB is committed to adhering to Visa's stringent program requirements and maintaining the integrity of the global payment network. On instruction of SKNANB, on September 23rd, 2010, ePassporte's network access for cards issued by SKNANB was disabled. As a result, SKNANB prepaid cardholders will not be able to view their card balances through the ePassporte.com website.

SKNANB is actively working to restore, as soon as possible, SKNANB prepaid cardholders' ability to obtain information regarding their Visa card balances and to access Visa card funds. SKNANB prepaid cardholders can expect further communication from SKNANB on or before September 30th 2010.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding your SKNANB prepaid card, please contact SKNANB at [email protected]. In addition, a dedicated telephone line will be established shortly.

SKNANB thanks you for your continued patience.

Just copy-paste from their "official mssage"

panchodog's izzy 09-29-2010 08:49 AM

Since I got my wire and my e-pass is pretty much empty, I ran the risk of letting a customer pay me to the wallet (just 50 bucks), since there would be no other way to get that money from him anyhow. Money is sitting in the wallet right now, and I loaded my MasterCard as a withdrawal option. Once it gets okay'd, I will try to get those 50 bucks from the wallet to the cred card and see if it works. It's funny/ironic that e-pass won't accept my actual rent bill as a proof of address. Go figure.

Anyone else heard anything from the bank about enabling the cards again like Humbolt posted?

curiousdog 09-29-2010 10:26 AM

If VV visa balance really is held by VISA, a payment should be expected

If these virtual visa funds really are held by a bank that is affiliated with Visa, we should expect to be paid. I don't expect Visa to steal a couple of Million dollars.

I wonder why this announcement took so long to come out. Maybe they really are out to screw eapassporte. Had they announced on the very first day, that they will pay out the visa balance, epassporte would never have lost the general users' trust, they just would have lost the card

For international webmasters, yes.
I blieve they will continue business in the US, but much smaller and with obviously less trusting customers.

why would they continue in US only?

a system like epassporte (if we talk lower limits on withdrawals) is easy to setup in EU but almost impossible in US.

Serge Litehead 09-29-2010 10:49 AM

I've got business account with ePass and my account representative has not been answering my last couple of emails past few days, although week and a half ago my request has been taken care of almost instantly.

VISA is an association of banks ? VISA acts as a "clearinghouse" for all its member banks.

VISA never did, and does not, hold any of the actual money nor issues any credit ? only its member banks do.
