Yeah. They should do something to keep their customers... well, happy is not the right word in this situation. But they should do something to restore their customers confidence.
Wires are going out, so that is a good sign. VISA themselves say that the money shoudl be safe. I hope epass gets the problems with their bank resolved quickly. Every day, it does not hurt many webmasters but also Epassporte. If you've used them in the past years, then you really don't want to see them go down. I've never had problems with them. For this reason alone, I would hate to switch to another service that I am unfamiliar with. |

I only have $600 in my account, but it would be nice to have it. don't think that's gonna happen though.
I do feel bad for those of you this is fucking anally that need that money for bills. I was screwed bigtime from Ibill and then again by Globill a year later. |
anyone got their international wire?
I sent my wire request on Friday, Sept. 3rd Since then I emailed Michael and other people from ePassporte many times. Finally I got good news from Larry Chavana, that was 2 days ago ---------------------------------------------- Our management team has approved this wire request and have notified our accounting department to have this processed as soon as possible. Please note, once this has been processed you will receive an e-mail notification within your “Message Centre”. I appreciate your patience and understanding. ---------------------------------------------- But my money are still on my epass wallet. And he is not replaying me since then. All this really sucks and makes me feel they play tricks. Can someone from Epassporte comment this situation? |

From my understanding, VISA indicated they are not holding the money; nor whether it even all exists. They say to contact St. Kitts bank / ePassporte for more information regarding the funds. ePassporte virtual visa funds are commingled together in a bank account(s) that presumably belongs / controlled by ePassporte and not their customers. Furthermore, if ePassporte virtual visa operates anything like PayPal (excluding money market - that's separate and may be safer ... umm, kinda like e-wallet is safer), then it's likely there's little real money backing those funds - the account balance shown in virtual visa may have always been a total fiction. Man, it has to be a bummer for all those who, for whatever reason, had their funds in the Virtual Visa and not the wallet. I never used the wallet until I got several unauthorized transactions over a long weekend (all of which e-pass charged back, credit must be given where credit is due). Since then, I keep the virtual empty unless I am going to make an online purchase or withdraw from the ATM. I still think I was lucky, I would be in a VERY bad spot if I had money in the VV, so I feel for those who do. Hope it all gets resolved and you can get your money real soon. Color me optimistic.

Mr Kloppers said Australia, which is the largest emitter of carbon dioxide per person in the world, needed to "look beyond coal" for alternative sources of energy before the introduction of a global price on carbon. However, neither major political party has committed to ending the country's love affair with coal, fearing a voter backlash from those employed by the industry. Kevin Rudd, the former prime minister, was dumped by his party earlier this year after he announced he would scrap an ambitious carbon pollution reduction scheme because the opposition had refused to support it. The announcement backfired and Mr Rudd's standing with voters plummeted. In the scheme's place, his successor Julia Gillard has pledged to hold a series of citizens' assemblies to find out what the electorate wants the government to do ? a move that has sparked widespread derision and contributed to her party's failure to secure a majority government at the general election last month. Tony Abbott, the leader of the opposition, once described climate change as "absolute crap", and has promised never to introduce a carbon tax. He has banned his MPs from sitting on a cross-party committee to discuss the subject. But Mr Kloppers, whose company made 8 per cent of its revenue from thermal coal production last year, warned that inaction would cripple the country. "We do believe that such a global initiative will eventually come and, when it does, Australia will need to have acted ahead of it to maintain its competitiveness," he said. "Carbon emissions need to have a cost impact in order to cause the consumer and companies to change behaviour and favour low-carbon alternatives. We all recognise this is a politically charged subject. No government relishes telling people that things need to cost more." Ms Gillard, whose government has a majority of just one after entering into a deal with independents and Greens party members, said the government was committed towards working towards a price on carbon. |
so thats its then?????????/
