When Michael posted about news in the next 10 hours I figured it out at that time to be around 9pm EST which is about 6 1/2 hours from now.

This is getting really lame and unprofessional that we, the clients off epass whose money is frozen are kept in the dark for so fucking long!

Don't see that in mine but I submitted all the documentation they wanted years ago.

panchodog's izzy 09-09-2010 11:49 AM

I got the same document verification message, but days before this whole situation unfolded.

:(

Sleep ? Whats that ... :disgust

Jdoughs 09-09-2010 11:50 AM

I also do not have the document requests, and I did do them about 2 years ago.

sgreen 09-09-2010 11:55 AM

This is exactly how I treat my clients when I havn't done the work which has been promised for months.. I just ignore them...

Fat Panda 09-09-2010 11:56 AM

If you don't have the documents then you shouldn't have a epassporte account since you're either laundering money or involved in some other illegal activity...

camchoice 09-09-2010 11:56 AM

We don't see the message, but when I click upload documents, I am seeing a line that says :

There are presently no card-holder documents on file for this account.

But above that message it says :

No documents are requested at this time...

Well it can be a good sign, so the sooner that you upload those will be better i think, maybe is to control the money laundering that is in statement around the net

Davy 09-09-2010 11:59 AM

Is there somebody from Germany reading this?
I wonder what you sent them as "credit card statement"? We usually don't have such statements for credit cards here...

Btw, I am seeing the request for documents because I specifically asked about it (the credit card on file was not verified).

Your link is valid. The statement is bullshit.

istinspring 09-09-2010 12:36 PM

that is bullshit. there is something ePassporte don't want to tell us.

ya, nothing like that on mine either.. i had submitted it a long time ago as well..

but if this is popping up on everyone else accounts, then it might be safe to assume that the issue Visa had was the suggested problem of the new credit card laws... and that they are doing something to make things compliant...

iBill Update
We just posted this on CMI:

September 29, 2004 iBill Clients: Please know that paying our clients is our highest priority. iBill is continuing to negotiate the release of settlement funds being withheld by First Data in order to pay our clients. In addition to our continued negotiations with First Data, we are working on freeing up additional capital to speed up the remittance of past due payments to our clients.

As you all know, we have been working through the difficult issue of transitioning our domestic IPSP business to our new domestic merchant bank at a pace that was faster than what was initially proposed or had been planned. In order to ensure proper compliance for our US sponsored merchants we will not be accepting Visa transactions until each US sponsored merchant has completed their new iBill merchant agreement with our new domestic bank. All US clients will continue to have the ability to offer MasterCard, Discover, JCB, American Express, Online checks, Web 900 and WebPhone. iBill account managers will have agreements available on Friday, October 1st. Planned implementation is scheduled for as early as Friday, October 8th.

We appreciate all of the support that our clients have given us over the last few days. We know how serious this matter is to you. Please be assured that everyone here at iBill is working diligently to correct these matters so that we can all return to business as usual.

Sincerely,
Your iBill Team
That BS continued for years and in the end most people were not paid.

I understand that the statement from ePass tried to draw a distinction regarding their business model, but when they cannot tell anyone after a week (4 business days) the simplest reason for the their accounts being frozen, something is not right.

I lost over $30,000 with iBill who "intended to pay", assured me my money was safe, and valued me as a client, and in the end all that they gave me was a worthless promissory note.

I hope all of you fair better than that and can eventually recover ALL of your money.

ADG

Well it is bloody well signed with his name...and all it says is.

Your money is stuck, it's complicated. Shut up, stop bugging us, and when we have some news we will let you know but we see no need to bug you will constant updates about what is happening with your money.

Did I get that about right?

No information on where the money is.
No ETA when wires will go out.
No information on where the money is that people wired into Epass and has not shown up.
No update on VV funds and access to them.

I guess folks, it's just too complicated for us "dumb folk" to understand.

I really really really hate being talked down to.

PlugRush Sascha 09-09-2010 02:08 PM

CCbill and epass are agregators of money. You can work with many aff programs and get money in one place. Now it will be very hard to work with small aff programs and get cheques or wire transfers from them :(

FrankHardcore 09-09-2010 02:35 PM

fuck, this statement is very similar to the one from "Chris Mallick". There is no happy ending for this story.

Also now happy ending for Mr. Mallick - or I can't see him live happy ever after. To many people would like to get a hold on him. I think the FBI will get to him first and that might be the best ending for him. Mr. Mallick is only buying time - he knows the money is gone for the movie "Middle Men" and that is stealing but as long people just sitting tapping the keyboard and not telling the FBI about this he is a free man. He is just buying time.

he got a whole week free - when he should be behind bars. Someone should post a report for FBI. So if he run he can get on the MOST WANTED list.

The money have been used for the movie!
The movie was 20.000.000 $
Movie income 750.000 $

Loss 19.250.000 $

Statement from ePassporte. Please Read

We at ePassporte are as distressed as you, our valued cardholders, over an action that we did not see coming and as of today we still have received no good basis for it.

First, be assured that your funds are fully safe and protected. You are owed that and it will be fulfilled. The funds are secure.

Second, ePassporte is working with the St. Kitts bank to work out how all payments will be made and when. The details are complicated, because there are funds in motion and where and when they settle requires us to all be careful that we fully and properly account for all those funds and their rightful owner. This issue stems from our processing and reporting ability through the Visa system and their processor.

Third, ePassporte's most important asset has always been our account holder's. We are not going to undermine that asset by treating cardholders in any manner other than the best we can.

Most of us have had the unfortunate experience of dealing with banks and card associations that simply ?cut us off? and did not pay us. Those actions were limited to card acquiring (merchant accounts), not card issuing, which is what we do. We can all take some comfort in the fact that this situation is not anything like the acquiring side of the business.

We all fully understand that communication to our cardholders is critical. However, it does not help any of us if we are constantly updating you on the basis of the calls that take place almost hourly. It seems to us that giving you facts, based on agreements we are working on is the best form of communication. This is what we will be doing. When we know something, that is a fact, we will report it, quickly. Our staff is all working diligently to resolve these issues and the many moving and complicated parts of getting the funds returned. Therefore, please do not mistake our silence as ?hiding?, ?avoiding? or ?stringing you along?. We too have funds that are stuck in the system, as well as massive costs of operation without any income.

Rest assured that when we know, you will know and you will all be satisfied with the results. Again, your money is safe.

For those of you that have been in the industry for many years, I hope you will recall that I have a very strong track record of fighting for the rights of webmasters, program sponsors, billing companies, merchants and the industry; that dedication continues.

Thanks you for your understanding in this difficult time and for your support over the last 8 years of our operations.

Chris Mallick
For ePassporte

Shit, ya.. I guess when I read the statement that really said nothing, i was frustrated and simply missed that last line with the lil fuckers name..

Well I was a bit optimistic the other day, but if that is his statement that answers no questions at all after an entire week, then I have lost quite a bit of hope for epassporte.. :(

That is a minor bump in the road.. and if checks are an issue from sponsors.. ccbill will be no different..

ccbill will not benefit from the peer to peer money transfers which was epass's main business, however companies similar to paypal might see some action.
