Ibill Update

Our CMI system is still down. Maintenance is continuing, as it has been throughout the night. We're hopeful the system will be up late this evening or early tomorrow. Please keep in mind this issue does not effect transaction processing.

We're quite aware that its frustrating to not have access to your reporting tools and we apologize for the resulting inconvenience. It is our goal to not only fix the problems as soon as possible, but to also ensure the the network is restored to its full functionality before its back online.

We appreciate your ongoing patience.

Good to see they are doing all possible !! everyone is so harsh. Give them a chance guys !!

I always find it very strange that so many aren't harsh. This is business. You let yoruself get fucked around in business and you don't stay in it very long. If people aren't harsh where money is involved then they really need not to be doing this.

It doesn't mean you have to be an asshole but it also means you need to have 0 tolerance when people are fucking you around especially when it effects your income.

Reasonable would be to stay stop using a bad billing company that steals (web 900), has next to no customer service and is totally unable to keep it's own systems running properly. When they also then prevent people from seeing how much money they have made or are owed for an extended period I think people on the whole are being far too reasonable.

Unlike some I don't believe iBill are going under yet. However they still have a very long way to go before they even come close to the service offered by other companies. Until they start doing this of course people will flame them. They have the resources to be good, it seems they just need the management to actually make it happen.

Again though this is business. Reasonable doesn't come into it when talking money. Hmmm...perhaps next time you forget a bill or go overdrawn etc you should tell your bank or the company concerned to stop pestering you and be 'reasonable'. See how far you get

Hey Resolute

The problem with the iBill CMI is this:

1) How do customers cancel

2) How to resolve password failures

etc etc

So to me, with the iBIll CMI being down, I worry heavily about my higher chargebacks - which will happen

You make some good points, one thing i am thinking of trying is saying to my Mortgage company, hey guys sorry but as my billing provider Ibill hasn't paid me. i am not able to pay you. I am sure they will give me 10 plus months to secure payment i am sure they would do that for me, not !

Now Ibill is owned by a larger and more cash rich company they are going to be looking for profits and this isn't going to be easy, in fact its getting worse by the day. 30+ hours of down time equates to possibly thousands of charge backs as previously mentioned. Just think what would happen if your main site was down and members couldn't access it ? 30 hours or possibly 72 hours without access how would effect your credibility.

I find it hard to believe a company that supposedly has so much cash doesn't have backup servers or some sort of rudimentary power surge protection in place, i think there is more to this problem than we a privy to and suggest you take a very close look at your stats when the CMI eventually comes back online.

IBill taking 15% of all transactions and having this type of downtime is unacceptable. I'm just glad I use CCBill!

The whole thing at IBill is wrong to say the least.

We're a small content provider and after we were hacked into and had our database destoyed, we were off the net. It is since up but with our webmaster away, it's not working so we are not working. Appolagies to all our clients.

We will in the future back the system up so if it goes down a second server will kick in.

But we are not a major company with milions of resources and people who can cover for each other. And we are not taking money for you.

I cannot understand how a company the size of IBill can say, "we cannot show you what your account is" and leave it at that. It shows major contempt for clients and those in the mainstream will not put up with it. They have more options than the adult.

They are making millions and cant get a simple administration interface to work. It is down every fucking month.

Fuck them, the only reason that they are in business is that it is impossible to move your database away.
