anyway im using mac as well.. i don;t think mac is vulnerable with these low life bullshite installers!!

I find it amusing that porn site owners really hate that they get lumped in with popup hell sites and virus installing porn sites... that because some are scum, we all get lumped in and lose out on tons of business because of those low lifes who made people think that all are scum and not accept that some sites really are ok to visit.

They're so blinded by the hate, that they refuse to believe there's a single piece of software out there that is actually legal... that actually has an "I accept" button... that might not be designed just to cause harm.

Don't put words in my mouth. I never said that.

I'm not blind when it comes to spyware, but many others here obviously are.

And just because it has an "I accept" button doesn't make it right or legal. Most people don't have a clue what spyware is, they just realize something is wrong when their computer no longer functions or they're stuck in popup hell.

A lot of this stuff is targeted to kids and teenagers too... Does that make it ok if a 13 yr old who doesn't know any better clicks on "I accept" because he wants to play a game? Do you really think that people read pages and pages of TOS to see what they're getting? There's a reason that these companies make the text font really small, or have several pages of TOS, because they know damn well that people won't take the time to read it.

Surfers have some liability in all of this, but adware companies exploit the internet as much as they can.

We all know files are getting more compressed and small from sites like yahoo, but yet when you download the same product you have had since 1999, the files downloaded seem to get bigger in MB! Strangly the amount of shit they are lumping on. Yahoo toolbars, homepage etc Ok, they may be legal, but you still get so much shit. If your a busy body like me and dont read everything u often install everything. And I aint the dumbest surfer around

This is done 10x worse than companies who aint yahoo etc.

There is more then 1 way to skin a cat. Legislation is one way. another which I am doing here is educating those basement tgp making webmasters as you put it, so they will hold companies who associate with installs accountable. I think are underestimating that if enough affiliates are pissed about this, sponsors will shy away from it. If enough people who buy traffic see it as a conflict of instrest they will go to someone else for traffic...

more then 1 way to accomplish the same goal.

When i get a job as the official spokesman for ifriends i will make public statements on their behalf. I am not even a paid employee so I will not venture to guess what they do and don't do behind closed doors, that I would know nothing about. Why don't you tell me, you know a lot more about installs then i do.

I can tell you i am working closely with them about this and if they don't ban accounts over it and allow it to happen I will send my traffic else where. I will not support a company that allows people to hijack my hard earned sales and get away with it.

Why don't you ask DH, he seems to work both sides of the fence. Maybe he is also an affiliate for software that can clean up spyware as well

Nope. Pulled the program and moved strictly to purchasing traffic. Same thing we were doing LONG before the webmaster pay-per-download program was launched.
